MCLEOD GANJ, India, 10 March 2008 — The Dalai Lama on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Tibetan uprising against the Chinese rule of Tibet. He said that the Tibetans continue to suffer under the Chinese rule and he is committed to resolve the Tibetan issue through the Middle-Way policy, which he believes benefits both the sides. Standing at his right is Sakya Trizin and further right is the Karmapa.
